It's a beautiful world we live in. Appreciate it.

Today, I received an SMS from a friend, requesting that I signed a petition to prevent the repeal of Section 377A of the law. The law that disapproves homosexuality, and to tell the truth, I am utterly disappointed. 

I have no religious beliefs, I'm a free thinker. I don't really give a second thought as to how God made us this way and thus, we should remain that way. But that's probably why I'm writing this post, basically, I don't care!

Look people who have yet to wake up from the 19th or 20th century, we have moved on. The human race has moved on. We're now more civilized, more flexible, more open minded. Think about it, seriously, think. In what way have they affected our daily lives? I'm living a perfectly normal life, knowing that there are people out there just slightly different from us. I still have a pair of hands, a nose, ears, a mouth. Why are you people so against them? Just because they defy God's will or something? Don't mind me, but does God even exist? 

What right do you people have? What right do you have to stop them from acquiring happiness? What right do you people have to judge them simply because of their orientation? We speak of equality everyday and yet, is this equality? It's in our very own pledge - "based on justice and equality". Shouldn't it be engraved in our minds and hearts already, after all these years. Tell me, if you think they're not humans, what are they? In every scientific way, they are human. Just like us. Can't we just open up our arms and welcome them like they're our own family?

Look at Ellen. She's someone that I admire wholeheartedly. Who cares if she's lesbian. She's a fine television host who has brought smiles to many viewers who watch her talk shows. She's a great person, with a great smile, has a kind personality and so many people love her.

Let's stop ostracizing them. For this world to move on, for the human race to move on, we need to stop all this hate going around. One's greatness isn't defined by one's sexual orientation.

Lastly, to quote Ellen, "And do we have to know who's gay and who's straight? Can't we just love everybody and judge them by the car they drive?"

Stop hating. Start loving.
